Unfortunately cannot find much info on this motherboard.

Does anybody have it, or have any experience with it, and if so how does it overclock, does the PCI-X function work well, ie did it give you any problems setting up PCI-X card?

Thanks

I have the 975X equivalent of it, the P5WDG2 WS Pro, I use an Areca ARC1110 card on it to provide extra storage, hence the need for PCI-X function.

It should overclock nearly as well as the P5K Deluxe, which is to say, extravagantly well; I haven't heard anything about it though, and I've seen nobody actually using it, so I can't tell you how well it should do.

keep me posted, i am also in the market for a pci-x areca card and would be willing to switch to a new board to offset the cost of buying a pci-e card

As a follow up in this thread, I bought this motherboard, however my Areca Arc1110 RAID card would not run properly in the PCI-X slot, with no tasks running (when it cpu should have been at 0%) the processor was continually using 15-20% CPU resources. When I ran the card in the PCI slot, it didn't use these resources, ie it ran correctly, but I then lost the (potential) speed and performance of the PCI-X slot.

I also tried using a different LAN, ie not one shared with the lane the PCI-X was on, made no difference, also read of other PCI-X cards not working properly in the PCI-X of this board, so if you want PCI-X, don't buy this motherboard.

I have sent this board back for a refund, and will continue to use my Asus P5WDG2 WS Pro until x38 is released.

On the plus side it did overclock my E6850 well.
