INTEL P4 HT 3.0 GHZ Overclocking HELP !

Hi there. I am using a asus motherboard which yes it has been modified by hp so u can overclock or do anything on it. I was desperate to overclock my prosessor though so i googled it and spent a good hour looking for a software application in which i could overclock my cpu. I cam to a forum and some guy said he used CPU cool to overclock their prosessor. So i searched the programe and downloaded it. I followed all of the on screen instructions and selected the correctversion of my motherboard from a drop down list. My motherboard by the way is a p4sd-la. So i went to up the FSB and cpu core and manage to get it up by 7 MHZ lol and then if i go any further my computer crashes and i have to reboot. Now i am new to overclocking but i gather that this is to do with the prosessor not getting enough volts so i need to somehope up the voltage going to my prosessor. I have CPU-Z and it says my prosessor is using 1.136v. Is there any way i can use software to up my voltage on the cpu attal. And before anyone says 3.0 ghz is a good speed anyway it isent for me ! . yes its dual core but its the cheat dual core its 1.5 ghz each core which SUXS !!!!! i wanted to at least get it up to 1.8 or 2.0 ghz each core. Ohh yeah also i am running on standard cooling heatsink and standard cpu fan.

Also if anyone can tell me what is a multiplier.

Thanks alot

Eagle

First off, if you can overclock through your BIOS, since you have a modded motherboard by HP (really?). Using overclocking software will get you nowhere. Second, it's not really 1.5 Ghz each core...I'll see if I can find a link to explain how all that works since I have trouble explaining things.

umm its a single core with a virtually simulated core runing at % of the real core.
