My guess is that the MCP73 is a new nvidia chipset for the low end market

I will probably make people go "ooh" when they see it at the store though.. makes it look expensive and attracts noobs

I'd take that board over oone with a SiS/Intel GFX

Yes, it is mATX. Who buys mATX with intergrated graphics? Dell, IBM, HP... OEMs.

That board sucks! A big GPU will cover most of the SATA slots.

Nvidia has one more integrated chipset and it plans to release this part in second quarter of 2007. The chip is called MCP73 and is a unified Northbridge and Southbridge chipset for Intel CPUs.

It also supports HDMI and should not be that different from MCP68, the AMD chipset with DirectX 9 graphic that Nvidia plans to release at Cebit. SATA 2 controllers, Gigabit Ethernet will be part of the new chipset.

Nvidia will compete soon to be launch Intel G33 board also scheduled for Q2 2007. AMD won’t make any R690 version for Intel because vendors would be too scared of Intel to buy it. Just look what happened to RD600 chipset.

Erm, does anyone besides duckie understand that this is basically an OEM motherboard? Therefore its not meant for you to slap 8800's in or overclock a quad core to 4ghz in. So chill with all the negativity.

On a happier note, its good to see that DVI is coming to on-board. Its also good to see that onboard can handle more popular games like CSS, WoW, and whatnot so gamers don't have to buy 7900's just to tackle one game.
