My Xbox 360 has finally died

I was expecting this day to come any time now. My 360, which was the first revision of consoles, has died, 1 and a half years old. Froze, and when restarted, came on with the dreaded three red lights of death. I supposed you could label them the RLOD.

Another broken 360 to join the ranks of the others!

Extended warranty FTW, just phoned M$ and they're gonna repair it. Although I kind of hope they replace it, so I get a later revision, and therefore cooler running, more reliable 360.

Did well to last this long though! lol

As long as I get it back in working order before Halo 3, I'm happy.

They'll probably just solder on some new parts and ship your old one back, its a lot cheaper than replacing it

Good Luck waiting. My 1st X360 broke in 1 month (March 06 model) and I was replaced a July 06 model and that 1 lasted only 7 months. So right now the repair/replacement is in progress but the thing is that it's about to be the THIRD week as of the day it arrived the repair center. (Sent in: July 6, Arrived: July 11, Current Date: July 30, and no updates what so ever.) My friend sent his X360 almost the same time as I did but a week earlier and it took EXACTLY 3 weeks for his to get him from the day it arrived at the repair center.

The support had a recorded message that said repairs could last up to or around 25 days, but they are hoping by the end of july "to bring it down to 15 days".

Still quite a long time though. Half a month. So I'm expecting to wait half a month - 1 month for it to return. >_<
