You can use Alchohol 120, Or MagicISO and MagicDisc to make an Image of those games. Then mount it as a virtual drive and it will make a new like F Drive and it will say the cd is in there and let you play it.

although note that many modern games have protections that Alcohol and other apps cannot bypass... yet
. it may change down the road as updates to the image-making apps come in.
but ya, making back-ups of the game discs and running off those has helped me keep all my PC games all happy and nearly scratch/damage free ^_^ b
if you've got a DVD burner you can even stick multiple images in .iso format to a single DVD. similar to what i did with my old C&C games.
