Looking To Drip!

Hey there.

I want to go to water cooling, but I have no idea what to get. It will be just the CPU for now, and then I will keep going. Can ya'l help me?

Thanks,
f4t4l1ty

Edit: Oh yeah, and keep it as cheap as possible.

You will need:
  • Pump
  • Radiator(s)
  • Fans
  • Tubing
  • Block(s)

Those are the costly parts. You will also need clamps or zipties, coolant, distilled water and perhaps some specialty fluids that are non-conductive.

Swiftech makes good kits, and Petra's Techshop and SVC sell great kits. Danger Den is also a winner in the water circle.

Personally I would get only dual 120mm fan radiators, and a triple if you can. If you go with a triple I would make certain that you have a good pump; the Laing pump is highly recommended. The pump goes by differennt names (D5) and there are 2 models, a vairiable and a static. The variable costs more, and really isn't necessary as it ought be run at full-tilt all the time (imho).

This would be a good kit with plenty of pump to add some blocks to..and if you had the space I would upgrade the MCR220 to a 320 which would be better for CPU & GPU cooling later if you wanted.

Wait wait wait.

Maybe self contained would be in my budget. Would http://www.cluboverclocker.com/revie...agateR80/2.htm one of those work?

If you are patient and savy you could cut a hundred bucks off of that.

Consider the elements of the components that make them superior, and shop for that... maybe on ebay (though there seems to be a rash of mishaps ).

say "ira-k" 3 times, and the water diety will appear... lol j/k.
I'm surprised that he, Apollo, or Dryad haven't made an appearance...

Check This section for ideas and much more.
