About my new Toshiba A215-S4747

Thread Starter
I just received my new laptop about a week ago, and I am pleased with my purchase. It is a Toshiba A215-S4747. It is very classy and I was impressed. I would recommend a Toshiba laptop for anyone in the market. I turned the power on for the first time, and within minutes I was surfing the web.

I got it for a very good price. It was on the cover of the Best Buy ad when I bought it for $700. Supposedly it's normally $850. It was $150 off instantly. The only thing a guy should do is upgrade the memory to two gigs.

It's obviously not for gaming, but is a solid computer otherwise. It's been smooth so far, I still plan to upgrade the memory.

For anyone looking for laptops, I hope this helps.

I think my dad has the same model as you. Despite all the viruses & spyware plaguing his laptop it still runs pretty smooth.

Is there any way you can up the volume on this laptop? I just purchased one and I found out this has barely audible sounds coming from the speakers. I've tried doing what someone would normally do and check the sound device volume, max volume, and windows media control volume. Nothing seems to work, Either of you know anything about this?
