Understanding C2D Temps

Thread Starter
Hi All
I've been having heat probs with my x6800 and while trying to sort it all out came across this page from Tom's hardware forum. It's from 2/2/07 but was updated on the 15th of July. It sure cleared things up for me as to whether i had a temp problem or not. (I do).

It's kind of a primer on all the various temps and when you should start to worry. Cheers

Very useful. I knew a "bit" about that, but now it all makes senses.

Great article, but I personally don't really care how hot a CPU gets with something that uses the CPU even more than Orthos. I'll never use the CPU as much as Orthos does with any application, so why downclock because of temp worries?
