my thoughts exactly!
lazy programming i call it!
doubling of textures for night and for day is mince!
yes...
current dual layer disks will in the end be replaced by another newer medium...
but that time is far from now...
Most games just now are not even using the full potential of current disks...
so why move on until you actualy need to...
i belive in future scooping yes...
but by the time the full use of BLUERAY and HDDVD comes into the game...
it will be time for the next-next generation console!
BLUERAY and HDDVD is another example of hardware being miles ahead of software!!!
And egh..PC's anyone?
I don't see people on forums saying PC's games are doomed cause the PC is not using BlueRay or HDDVD...all be it they have hard drive...
oh..whats that...the 360 has a hard drive as well?!
if need be...i think there will always be a work around for a clever developer!
as i said...HDDVD and BlueRay and what ever other format comes up will figure more in the consoles after the PS3 and 360...
size isn't everything...its how you use it!
and quite frankly..some games developers are better at others at using what they have!
as for 2 disks for racing games...
GT2 on PS1 worked it prety well with 2 disks!
