Vista vs XP : 3dmark03

Looks like vista is absolutely destroyed in this.... maybe its because my card isn't supported under vista, either way I'm sticking with XP at least until it is supported.

You really need to run 3DMARK 06 atleast to even get an accurate comparison.
Anything older than 06 gets very low scores in Vista.

My scores in 06 are: 16,400 XP and 15400 Vista
My 05 I believe were 22,000 XP and 18,000 Vista

I havn't ran 03 for almost 4 months, but I can tell you that vista does not like old benchmarks.

03 Is old technology and should only be used for fun, not for a real benchmark.

to bad I cant.... I formated over vista because I was only getting 30-40 fps on CSS vs the 70-100 i get now

again it may just be due to Microsoft drivers I had to run on in vista

heh, doesn't surprise me after all I've heard. Good to see an example though. Thanks.

I just noticed that the XP screeny's CPU-Z shows you're processor at 1.0GHz. Is that just Speedstep kicking in?

That's a sweet laptop, and a great score considering you're running Vista, too.

Same with you, Darklord.
