DDR2 800 running under spec?

Thread Starter
For my next build I'll be getting myself the Q6700. From the specs of the Q6700 NewEgg has posted, it looks like the real FSB is 266.5MHz (1066/4). Does this mean that if I were to leave it at stock settings, the DRR2 memory speed would be 533MHz (266.5 x 2 for DDR), below the 800MHz of DDR2 800?

The Q6700 runs at 2.66GHz with a 1066 FSB.
Q6700 @ 1066/4 QDR = 266.5MHz real FSB
266.5MHz x 10 (multiplier) = 2.66GHz stock speed
Quad pumped (QDR) FSB = 1066
266.5MHz x 2 (DDR) = 533MHz memory speed (where DDR2 800 would end up running under rated specs since DDR2 800 is 800MHz?)

Where as...

Q6700 @ 1600/4 = 400MHz real FSB
400MHz x 9 = 3.6GHz
400MHz x 8 = 3.2GHz
QDR FSB = 1600
400MHz x 2 (DDR) = 800MHz (where DDR2 800 would run at rated stock speeds?)

For example, someone had their Q6600 @ 3.4GHz (378x9). With the real FSB at 378MHz, wouldn't that make his memory speed 756MHz, just below the 800MHz of PC6400? I don't know if the guy is using DDR2 800 or not, but let's just say he is with a 1:1 ratio.

Just so you know, I plan on getting the ASUS P5N32-E with either this G.SKILL memory or the Crucial Ballistix.

Sounds like your right on, whatever your FSB is just divide that by 4 then times it by and you have the speed your RAM needs to be to run at 1:1 ratio.

So mine is 800FSB divided by 4=200 x2=400
So DDR400 is the RAM speed i need

Hope i helped.
