At the moment i've got a DS3 but my dad is having it,

Huh... contradictory there....

Best... but not too expensive? Well, what do you want? Neither and just mid range?

If you don't care about overclocking ability, then why care about a mid range board at all? Just get cheap?
Once again...

Asus P5N32-E 680i or the P5K are good motherboards. The eVGA 680i is pretty good as well.

Eitehr the P5N32-E SLI or the P5N-E SLI. Both are good overclockers, and allow the option for SLI later should you feel the need to pick up a $90 8800GTS in a few years.
