Yeah I do for people that don't like louder fans they work well with low cfm fans...They will still cool better with higher cfm...They will beat the old BIX rad by a couple of C with 100+ cfm fans...

I think that would be your best shot go with some higher cfm fans and see how it does before putting another rad in your loop..The RD could handle another rad easily though...How do you like the quad? What kind of temp's are people getting on them OC'ed with air?

I am an RD30 owner, have had it for at least 6 months, running in a single loop.

Cooling an over clocked QX6700 @ 3.4GHz, dual MCW60s on naked core 8800 GTS in SLI and an MCW30 on the EVGA 680i NB.

At least to me, when @ 18V, I cant hear the pump, with 3 san ace/denkis on my rad going @ 12V.

even @ 20+V its still not loud, mind you my case is less then two feet away on the desk and open.

Yes they are bit of $$, but if you want serious pumping power, then its a good choice.

I use a Meanwell S-150-24 to power it, with a radio button on the PSU to adjust voltage.

The loop bleeds in less then two hours, 95% @ 18V

I have the same PSU, how did you downvolt it to 18v? I thought the manufacture specs stated 21-28v?

Also i know who you are, from XS

Glad to see there is at least on other person using the Thermochill rads...Ira-K has done his best to turn the whole forum onto HW labs

I have been looking everywhere to find a good means of trimming the voltage to 18V...when I find it I will let you know.

So far the only rheostat I have found that can handle the amps is $75!!!

CD, have you tested the PSU with a voltmeter? The specs usually say +/- 10% with the pot adjustment.... it often is higer.
Once again...

Yeah they are great rad's if you don't have girlie ears......How far does your PSU go down CD...Some will drop a lot lower then the rated 10% so if your lucky you might be close to 18V now...Or have you tried it yet?
