Hitman: Blood Money and Vista 64-Bit

hey guys,

anyone else had trouble running this game under Vista x64? i got it going once, then decided i wanted to plug headphones in. i exited the game to changed my speaker settings and BOOM. havnt been able to get back in since.

and IF i can get back in, its on 1280x1024 resolution, so when i change it to 1680x1050 (my native res), which i had it running on before, my computer crashes. the doesnt jam, just...stops?

help please, this is like my favourite game lol

EDIT: Should mention, i get a "hitmanbloodmoney.exe has stopped responding" error. this occurs wheneve i try run the game, even as an Adminstrator or in any of the compatability modes

I can run it fine in Vista-32 Bit. But it does crash quite a bit more then usual. Have you tried right clicknig the icon and going to properties > compatibility > Windows service pack 2? Post your results

ok made some progress.

can get in no worries, but as soon as i try change it from 1280x1024 to 1680x1050 it crashes. no BSOD, no error, monitor just switches off, and comp doesnt work. when i press reset, it seems to hault, then turn off and on.

similar to when you set a bad overclock setting.

could it be the 4gb of ram ?
