As stated before, nibbler.

*AUTOMATIC CENTERPUNCH* Sorry for the caps but this really is a biggie for sheetmetal work and machining.

Tap/cutting fluid is a must... it will greatly increase the life of your tools and save you money in the long run. TapMagic is my current favorite for general use.

soldering iron has countless uses including punching holes in acrylic, making hot knife cuts through cable sleeving and of course soldering itself useful if you wish to make volt mods etc.

Also there are pin exctraction tools (molex and atx).

Angles for custom fabrication... helps to keep things square.

As a note for cutting holes:

MrBungle once likened cutting holes with a Dremel circle cutter to mowing the lawn with a weed-wacker.

...Other than it having an element of truth, there is another factor to consider - cost.

The attachment that I have can cut holes between 3/4" and 10-1/2" in diameter. It cost about US$ 10.00. This allows a lot of freedom with non-standard diameters. I do have a 5" hole-saw blade... it cost me US$ 50.00, a set of lifetime holesaws will put a pretty deep dent in the wallet.

The benefit to hole-saws is that they will eat through steel (if one gets the right type), and a dremel with a sideways bit will at best struggle if not fail entirely. The Dremel is good for light weight aluminum and acrylic...

Oh yeah... and a small butane torch has several uses.

I will be deleting the suggestions after I add them. Or do you think I should leave them open? I wouldn't want to jip you of your reps. '

Again thank you for all the suggestions so far. I am sure this will become a excellent list of tools and should help everyone from the new modder to the veterans and even the professionals

Everyone is doing an awesome job Keep them coming

I will be sourcing pictures soon for each product. If we could make a simple guide for each tool that we could link to on the forum that would really be awesome. I want the guides to be well written and have quality pictures.

Eventually this guide will have links to how to use the tools properly and this should blow every other forum out of the waters

Part # 678-01, the dremel compass tool and staright edge cutter, for case modding it will replace all those expensive circular drill bits.

Eye protection, and if there is sanding involved respritory protection.

There have been any number of times when I have been merrily cutting on metal and sparks are flying everwhere, and the occasional "CRACK!" when a piece shoots off and hits the lens' of my goggles. And, grinding down metals will produce fine airborne particles that are best kept out of the lungs.

I look goofy, but I can still look...
