Playstation 3 CPU Overclocking

Thread Starter
Hi

I'm working with PS3 as a desktop computer ( it is working hard doing mathematical calculations ) and I'm quite surprised about overclocking results in some machines.

Anybody knows if it is possible to overclock PS3 Cell Processor? And if it is possible, how to do it?

Thanks in advance.

I don't have a PS3, but I highly doubt that it is possible. Sorry.

I highly doubt it has an unlocked BIOS or that there are any programs that could unlock the BIOS.

If you overclock it, it will overheat (more likely than not).

I just came up with a theory: They both have the word "over" in them... THE GOVERNMENT!

I had to do that.

Console known for overheating ?? In confined spaces and some display booths without adequate circulation maybe, but other than that, I have not heard of the PS3 overheating.
