based on those ratings you can either:
A) run just the G-Skills

or

B) loosen the timing on the Gskills to 5-5-5 and run all 4.

From the sounds of it, you may be better off to just run 2 sticks of GSKills.

If you used all 4 sticks you will end up having 3520MB total.

by running ok..you mean;
A- stable..
B- semi-stable..
C- you dont know but it works..

Have you run it through a couple hours of MemTest yet? [using 4 instances]

Great to hear Hogans!!! Memtest it and if its stable, you are good to go. If not, either up the voltage or loosen the timings.

Um yes it does make sense..

32-bit OSes can use a MAXIMUM of 4GB of ram, so if your video card uses lets say 768MB, its going to take 768MB from your 4GB ram, so it doesn't go over the limit.

Please do some research before correcting me. I'm 100% sure thats how it works. If I pull out a 2nd G80 I get 768MB more physical ram.

I get a whopping 2.2GB with both G80s in and my X-fi with 64MB of onboard.

You don't even have 4GB of ram so I don't see why you are saying I am incorrect.

Your job, once I said it didn't make sense, was to explain how it works. You should do research on how to explain things to people whilst I figure out the math behind how much 32-bit buses can address since you cannot explain it to me.

for the P5B-dlx, you can use the 'memory re-map' feature to emulate, more available memory addresses..utilizing more than 4gb's..up to 16gb's i believe w/ a 32bit OS and 32gb's for a 64bit OS.

It is still pointless.
