Can't decide on which one

Thread Starter
I can't decide which would be better to use for a X6800 intel chip. I'm looking at both Prometeia Mach II and the VaporChill Lightspeed. I've read reviews on both of them and they both have outstanding reviews, but still can't decide which to go with so I would like your help in this if possible.

VaporChill is cheaper: $849

and the

Mack II: $899

Contact a builder and have him build you one for your chip. These premade systems cannot handle the heat load that these newer chips put out. You will end up bustin the compressor. A private builder can build one cheaper, more efficient, more reliable and a hell of a lot better performing than a Prommie or Vapo

I thought that was for the Quads only and not for the Dauls? I know the Quads will need a premade one to be able to hold the heat.

i got a 5000btu air conditioner unit for free. got to purge the system, do some copper work, fit the evap, pay someone to fill it for me(guessing around $100-$150) and it should hit around -40. i saw someone with the same compressor as mine at -45 on a quad. worked fine.

Maybe those temps on a lighter dual, not near that on a quad most likely. 11cc NF11fx gets me around -33C on quad builds. Even for dual builds though custom is much better and cheaper!

Even if you were going to cool a P3, it would still be cheaper have a custom one built. The smaller the load, the cheaper the unit can be built for.

Well in some ways, yes a smaller condenser can be, but at the same time my standard high power dual or quad cooler is chaeper to my customer becuase I buy in pallets and not one peice at a time at one peice pricing!

I'm looking to overclock this thing has high as I can get it. I've seen "most" of these OC to about 4.5-5ghz so I want to get the best system for it and I'm also looking to use this for a everyday work if possible, but I haven't really thought about it to hard.
