EVGA 680i A1 + QX6700 overclocking Thread!

Hi Guys..

I've been doing reading the past few days alot of people are having problems(including my self) overclocking " these 2" to a significant level.

All im asking, can you post your results and experience....

Isn't the EVGA A1 supposed to be one of the best for ocing quads?

It is the best SLI motherboard for OCing quad cores. The older AR/TR revision and the ASUS 680i boards have a hard time reaching 350 FSB with the quad cores due to hardware limitations. However, the A1 can do 450 FSB with the quad cores. However, because of the straps, you cant really go over 480 without degredation in performance. Sure the boards can do 525 FSB, but at a performance hit. The P35 chipset boards on the otherhand can push 500, but there are none that are SLI.

I have the same CPU as the OP so I searched Ebay for "evga A1" and see cards with SLI:

So I'm assuming I need to search for something more specific. Could you tell me which board can push 500? Also, when you say none are SLI I can still use a graphics card that is SLI enabled right (I just cant use 2)?
