weird thing is, when i search IN the game, i get only a couple of servers, but when i search with my steam window, and filter to search only TF2, i get a lot a servers, and as far as i can tell, they all work fine.

i still crash when there's a server change, but that's another story

Do you have a bad router or slow internet? Usually while connected to a server I get less servers because I'm using too much bandwidth.

If one program can get it, but another can't, it's probably firewall. I haven't heard of anyone else getting that problem.

I've been playing a bit more recently and have been getting a bit frustrated with all the sentries...I'd like to get rid of them as a spy, but the damn engineers won't even let a teammate holding a basket of muffins close to that thing.

Hope we get hunted, avanti and epicenter soon (from fans if Valve turns out to be a dick). We need new maps.

you have to do it through the new steam community interface. Go to your steam community page and edit your name there.
