*OFFICIAL* Team Fortress 2 Thread *56k Warning* - Page 20

I'm so bad with the Soldier. I can't seem to kill anyone with the rocket launcher, so I try to shotgun them all the time and I might as well go Scout if I'm going to resort to that.

Those stupid Spys have me paranoid now. Everywhere I go I always swing around and look behind me just to make sure I don't get knifed while healing others. But I'm pretty good at spotting them now and their usual hiding spots. The tranquilizer gun usually makes short work of them.

I like engineer, got to love setting up a defense for the team. Also staying alive for 20+ minutes with 20+ kills is nice.

there is not char with a normal gun, like a gun you can actually use skill and aim.
Dont get me wrong, the game is amazingly fun, but its a spray fest minus the snipers, which you can only really use at long range.

I have a gripe with the Snipers too. Whenever I snipe someone, I never kill them with the first shot. I guess they carry the CS equivalent of a scout. For me, the enemies are moving too fast to really get a headshot, so I usually hit them once, then mow them down with the secondary gun. The secondary gun is suprisingly good, in my opinion. It's got a tight spray and is pretty powerful if you aim high. I never really have time to fully "load up" the sniping meter either.

I think you're right, Sin100. Most of the guns are spray guns as opposed to say a three-round burst gun or something accurate. But I think the weapon choices fit the style of the game quite nice.

There are also too many rockets and nades. I hate running around a corner as a sniper only to see 3 Soldiers and 2 Medics running at me.

I don't mind the Demo's nades so much. It's like you say, the rocket spamming can be frustrating sometimes. Especially with the lower health classes like Medic, Spy, and Sniper, it only takes like one rocket to die.

lol i own with the sniper, just went on him first time a few days ago on i think it was called fort and got 33 snipe kills in a row until i was stopped lol, im used to CS:S so i find sniping easy, thought its not as responsive as cs:s because sometimes when you quickly click for your scope it doesnt come on.

I want to shoot too quickly and not build up the scope.

I really tried out the Spy this past weekend and really like him. He can really turn the tide if he cloaks and gets behind the Heavy/Medic combos. He's good at knocking out the turrets too, if the Engineer isn't hanging out right next to it.

For the Sniper make sure that if you do get a good shot and kill the person, to leave that spot and find another hiding spot. Never snipe in the same spot over and over. This is extremely important in TF2 due to the fact it will zoom in and tell who / where the person got shot from / by.

Yup. I remember numerous times this weekend when I would see the laser target on the wall, cloak with Spy, and run out and backstab him. Thirty seconds later, he would be in the same spot and get shanked again.

I just hate it when I'm cloaked and accidently block an enemy running towards me. He realizes I'm there and demo nades me in the face.
