This is the dumbest thing i have ever seen.
They run HOT, 3 cards packed together like that, only the front one is getting air. these things will be overheating left right and center. Unless you can afford WC'ing as well.
This is just another way for them to make money, but i doubt it will take off.

AMD, also plans to offer 3-way CrossFire multi-GPU implementation. To me CrossFire & SLi is an overkill already.

I like the idea, but the money involved will be outrageous. But hey, I have a 680i board and I'll soon have SLI 8800GTS 320s, so if I can save a bit of money on my next upgrade and just buy a third 8800GTS (if they do support them down the line) I'm all for it

How the hell are the top 2 cards going to draw in cool air..and i agree sli is overkill unless you are running those super high res of 2560 x 1600 with max AA and AF and max details...even then im sure youll get 60fps and so what the point of the 3rd card?...this is getting ridiculous now.

i can see motherboard manufactures coming out with a new ATX spec... Ultra long motherboards for sevral video cards.....
Theres not much room on that motherboard for anything else. let alone decent air flow...
marketing scam written all over it... there is no way you will get a performance jump of any significance from 2 cards to 3...
Like the article said, the driver support sucks... doesn't work in vista...
Whats the point if having an e-penis that size?? its not like you can use it for what its meant for when it gets that big...

Pointless....
Also, it's not possible to use 3 GTX's on a 680i.
