I use ESET 3.0 Security Suite which comes with AV & Firewall.

To me its the best anti virus i have ever used and the firewall picks up anything that trys to make any connection and requests me to allow or dissalow. Even comes up when i connect my laptop to the wireless net, but of course, that will only stop it from being able to connect to my desktop which i dont think it can anyway.

Thats my suggestion!
