Max Clock?

I dont know why the maximum clock I can do in Riva Tuner is 618/928 in RivaTuner.

Once I clock to anything above for both core and memory - it just locks up in ATITool while viewing the 3D model.

Any reason why I cant go higher? Infact, RivaTuner warns me for anyhing above 1100 for Memory but people have like 1600-2000 for their memory overclocks.

IDK, I'm just guessing here, but try to not use both ATITool and RivaTuner at the same time, with both programs fighting over control of the GPU, things may get ugly. Try just using RivaTuner and tell us if it helps.

no , im using RiveraTuner to overclock and ATITool to scan for artifacts/test with 3D model. ATITool doesnt even overclock in Vista.

The memory is DDR, soo you have 928x2=1856 effective memory speed.
As far as the core speed, you've probably reached the limit.
I'd lower the mem to 900/1800 effective and try upping the core some more.

oh ok I see now.

Now - I have 2 8800 GTXs in SLI - just apply whats on RiveraTuner and thats all I need to do? Or do I need to "flash" the cards like some say.

Aslo - it I cannot overclock past 830 core. While scanning for artifacts in ATITool - it just locks up and give me BSOD saying driver error "nvldmm" or whatever the nvidia driver is.

Does anyone know how to get past the low #s? Idk why it's like that because I have the same card many of the people in the OC Official 8800 Overclocking thread and I cant even come close to any of those numbers
