Please lend me whatever you are smoking because it must be pretty good stuff. 16GB in 3 years?.....Not a chance for gamers, MAYBE video editors and CAD users and such.
I am not sure how you can even think that enthusiasts (assuming gamers) will be using 32GB of ram in 3 years. If a gamer is using that much ram in 3 years, I can assure you he wasted money on around 28GB of that ram.
I don't see 8GB of ram being the standard until around 2012-2015, and by then 8GB will most likely be enough for ANYTHING.
Think about it, the biggest game out I believe is stranglethorn which is 16GB. Why would you need to load the ENTIRE game into your ram? 2GB is plenty. I highly doubt games are going to be over 150GB in the next 3 years, because that would be the only way you'd need 16-32GB of ram...
