need help with p5nsli bios update.

Thread Starter 
I was looking at the Asus website and they have new Bios out for my motherboard.

I have never really updated a bios before other than ones from dell that flash and do everything for you. I proceeded to click on the "HOW TO UPGRADE YOUR BIOS" button on the left side of that website above. All that did was confused me more. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

In your BIOS, the should be a utility called EZ Flash, save th bios file to a memory stick and plug it in then restart and enter that bios utility.

From there you should be able to choose that bios file and flash to it.

Otherwise you can use the asus update utilty and try from within windows.

Yeah i was talking about a pen drive thingy.

The asus update utility can be found here:

You will need to eitehr chose update bios from internet or from the file you have already.

I tried just doing it on the Asus Update program and it kept saying server could not find bios image. I guess i could download the file from the site and choose load from file. That's probably what i'm gonna do. It says you shouldnt' update unless you are having problems. I thought you should always keep that stuff up to date? Is that not correct

They cover themselevs by saying that so if you have problems its not their fault.

Basically like saying dont fix it if its not broken.

But yes we all like to stay up to date.

Download the file seperately and chose to update from file.
