Thanks Run N. Gun

I have some more details to work out. I am nont too please with the silver of the threaded rod showing. To fix that eye sore I will be fabricating a valance to cover the perimeter of the fans.

..."PITA"... What does the acronym stand for?

The dual rad sits on top of the case and is securely mounted. I am going to have to play with "downdrafting".... airflow is something that I will need to actually have running to see what happens.

I got the foam at "Michael's", a local Crafting store.... nice and inexpensive. I use that stuff all the time for anti-vibration and for non-thermal gaskets.

Thank you CyberDruid.

Perhaps you noticed that the fans are installed for downdraft... I would have eighty-sixed the idea, but I saw a mod by you where it seemed to work rather well.

The face of the Plextor is in good cosmetic condition, so I passed on painting it... I have had it with painting for now... so laborious and time-consuming.

I take it you'll be replacing those barbs out on the radiator with metal ones? They look so tacky compared to the rest of the case which is flawless
... darn you prosser and your eagle eye.

lol...j/k Bro.

That is the one eyesore that I did not have a way around with what I had on hand.

Hahaha....it was kinda funny. I went to install the standard barb and as I started to thread the barb it almost fell through the larger diameter hole...

...I had never checked the threading diameter... lol. Now I am stuck with those nasty plastic thingies.

unless....

Yes please

PM me with details. I was almost in tears when I realised I needed to use the stock plastic abominations.....

Thanks for looking buys.

Now I need to remove the single rad and reconfigure the mounting of the front panel.

I am nervous about cutting the front panel as it is one of those, "you only get one shot at this....don't screw it up" procedures.

Cutting the front panel?

But why!

I suppose in the quest to find the ultimate case certain risks must be taken

Where did you get that Kama Bay from?

Oh!.... I meant the acylic front panel...

The slot for the optical disk, the eject button, the mounting holes and the fan opening all have align perfectly.... like the stars...

I'm scared.

I'm gonna do it today... I just have to jump in!

Haha, yeah

Where'd you get that Kama Bay from then?

Have you decided on the lighting yet?

oopsies.... forgot to tell you about the Kama...

hmmm... my memory seems to be failing me.... I probably got it from the Egg, or from Frozen CPU, maybe Petra's Tech Shop. My apologies for being so vauge... it's not intentional.

I got it awhile ago, but when I tested it and discovered the stock fan breathes like an asthmatic at high altitude I ditched it.... ya... I could have switched the fan, but at that time it wasn't working for me.

Now it serves a purpose.

Hehe, no worries

I'm very tempted to pick up a couple for at least one of my mods, might add one onto my next order from Scan.co.uk ($25 for a silver one)...

Ah! and prosser, sorry I keep missing your questions... sorry, I'm kinda distracted and jumbled.

Lighting: RED! Yes... blood red. Maybe some UV also. I still need to experiment once I get the hardware and loop installed.
