Im having some problems now .. i cant predict the th temp with out knowing how much electricity it's using but i can't predict that with out knowing the th temp. round and round i go.

Im having the same problems; All the variables seem to affect each other but you cant work many of them out without the others.

i think im going to have to start again .. the way im working everything out is wrong

Does this mean you have some idea of the right way? Im working on a massive equation that I think will be helpful if I can get it to do what I want.

i haven't given up yet .. im having difficulty calculating qmax at different th C/W

do you know how to do compound equations ?

If you'd asked me two years ago I would have laughed and said of course. Now i'm a bit rusty, I could probably have a stab, and one of my housemates is a physics student who loves maths so much I wonder if hes doing the right degree.

Ok i must be a morron .. this is the maths i need see pic above

1=270
2=359.1
3=477.6
4=635.2
5=844.8

# 2 is 133% of 1
# 3 is 133% of 2
# 4 is 133% of 3

So my question is given #1(270) how do i find out the number between 1 and two (say 1.5) or whatever number i pic ?

it shouldn't be to hard to come up with and equation ?

That is slightly moronic, you'll kick yourself.

Basically #N = 270 x (1.33 power of N-1)

So if N was
1 : 270 x (1.33 power of 0) = 270
2 : 270 x (1.33 power of 1) = 359.1
1.5 : 270 x (1.33 power of 0.5) = 311.3791901...
and so on.

i can see how that's right ..

#3 718.2= 270x(1.33*(3-1))
thats a long way from 477.6
