Ultrasonic2's TEC Calculator - Page 7

I only use firefox but it seems to work now anyway.

Right, just tried it. I like it. Though the details you have in for my peltier arent correct (no idea about the others). For my peltier the Imax is 9 and the Umax is 15.2 (which you have correctly), the Pmax is 136.8W (not the Qmax) and the Qmax is 89.2W.

Have done, thanks a lot. Can you explain to me the problems you have had with the hot side c/w?

in short .. the watts used (WU) is effected by the Hot side temp (HT) temp
BUT
the HT temp is effect by the WU ... round and round we go.

it's of course only a problem when a HT C/W is used because this is the only time the HT doesn't = ambient.

Im actually on a good lead at the moment which might fix the problem but i need a few full days to work on it ... not an hour here or there ... time is the issue.

Hello again. My chiller project once again goes unfinished as I am at university, I'm thinking of going home for a weekend to get the basics finished for testing but they really load us up with work.

In the meantime, people have once again been giving me grief about peltier efficiency despite the fact I have tried it for real... This got me back into the maths of it all and ive had my first stab at a calculator like yours.

It seems to be giving me reasonable figures so far though it makes some assumptions first that then have to be corrected. Also I only have it set for my particular TECs.

I was just wondering if you made any more progress? Do you have any crucial piece of knowledge you think I should know? Also, your program looked pretty whilst mine is currently text based, I need to brush up on my GUIs.
