Face cannon,

I too could not get a stable x16 Multi,

so I dropped the High multi for lower ones along with a high FSB and found a stable 3.3ghz.

You might have better luck with a lower Multi?

Just a quick rundown where I am at

vcore =1.42
Cpu Freq = 254
CPU Multi = 13

HT Multi = x4

DDR2 (800) = 667

I had to play with Chipset Voltages and off the top of my head don't remember them....(am on my laptop right now)

here are a couple 3.3 setup that work for me

Vcore = 1.42V

CPU Freq = 287.0
CPU Multi = 11.5

HT Multi = x4

DDR2 (800) = 667

Currently am working on another setup and so far it's stable

Vcore = 1.42

CPU Freq = 300.0
Cpu Multi = 11

HT Multi = x4

DDR2 (800) 667

Don't know if any of this helps as each system is different, but it something to try and consider

You don't have to go for 3.3ghz this just shows ways of a desired goal using different ways

I would think you could get by w/lower voltages to the cpu. maybe you have some ram timmings that might help you achieve a better overclock or at least one using less cvolt. hope this helps. One other thing to consider is lapping your IHS and heatsink if it is not already. Temps will play a big part in getting a good stable overclock and of course we all know the lower the temp the better.
I updated the system that I am currently using, You should find the info you need there. Again, 1.48 volts spikes to 1.60 when under Orthos load. I don't think I ever restarted into bios that quickly in my life.

i'm pretty comfortable with that, i'll do more tweaking when deneb is on newegg. i don't expect that much of a performance gain from my more than likely maximum of 3.3ghz. i don't know if my ram timings aren't loose enough or what, but this does not like 3.3ghz at all.
200x16 worked at 1.45v. anything a little bit past was NOPE.

they key to getting high clocks on the Black Edition with a 15 or 16 multi is to loosen the ram....not just the primaries but on the secondaries....

even if memtest says the ram is fine it isnt....

when you get the timings right it will scale alot higer with less vcore...thats how you'll know if the ram is palying nice...the reduction in vcore....

Do you know the specific secondary ram timmings that should be loosened up. I would like to learn this one. Maybe it will help me get a better fsb and overall overclock.

Hiya folks,

Well here I am, sign me up. I've had this thread sub'd for along time but I have not read most of it. Now I got some time on my hands so I'll get back when I'm done.
