running at a lower multi and higher fsb in order to put your ram in a 1:1 ratio would be the better option. You only need to look at some of the recent posts on this site to see the huge debate about the benefits of a 1:1 ratio for intel systems. For me, given that cooling is not an issue, i would try to get the ratio 1:1 but not sweat if i couldn't get it either. In your case, yes i would lower the multi to 8 so i could run a 1:1 ratio with ram. Don't run the ram below rated speed... You might even consider raising the fsb over 400. Just make sure it is stable at the higher fsb
