Supposed to come out late september, nvidia claims it will play doom 3 high quality at good resolutions for excellent prices

6600 GT clocked at 500MHz - $199

6600 clocked at 300MHz - $179

you might as well go for the 6600 GT for the big performance difference, although it hasnt been tested so no one is sure of how good its performance really is.

I would not fall into the trap of them saying it will play DooM III on high settings. I have a 6800 GT and yes it runs at a steady locked 60FPS but in some parts it does drop to about 30FPS mainley when there is quite a few big guys on screen and I am going mad with my gun.

The problem today is companies hype there gear so much that the consumer gets lost in the sea of BullS***.

Only time will tell... Once card is out and some good reviewers get a hold of it then we will see what this medium range card can pull out the hat but until then dont listen to what the company says.

This card is actually going to be very good and comes out in about a month, gamespot ran some benchmarks comparing it the 9800 pro and it wiped the floor with it tho 9800 is older ATI hasnt made anything simular to the 6600 yet.
