first off. i must say. that i was born in 1988

also start off with a quick story.

few years back. a friend's work was redoing the plant. and got rid of alot of good stuff. (i.e. he came home with a truck full of bungie cords! brand new LOL)

i got a wall mounted bin storage system off him for like 10$ its a 36 tray unit. i would say each tray is 3-4 inches wide. 6 inches deep at a guess.

ironically. it sat in my garage for years. never used it. this year. i got the idea to bring it in the house. (store my pc stuff in it )

just a hint. something like this may come in handy for your shop. i know i enjoy mine

also. those little canning jars. like. 3 inch diam 2 inch tall. glass. work well for storing small things. like jumpers. and case screws.

just a few things i would have in that nice big shop

just a friendly tip

and tsk tsk. the concrete is all the fun... (not lol. il agree with your choice on that.)

Hmmm... the only thing I'm missing is a miter saw and a drill press. I've been contemplating getting them or not. Can you say you use them a lot in case mods, particularly the drill press?

I just redid my half of the garage too. I hung everything up and I find it a whole lot better than packing things in bags. What I might suggest you get is a magnetic tool holder. It has to be one of the best things for tool organization, especially since you can just throw things you use a lot on it and rip it off when your ready to use it again.

So I see we're both tool bag kind of men.

Who needs a big clunky hard sided toolbox banging them in the knees anyways?
Yeah that looks a bit like my dads shop lol. He has a few different lathes and things too but I'm sure you've got some things he doesn't have as well.

But yeah he's been a contractor his whole life and it's true about acquiring tools and how they make you money. He worked for one woman and her elderly mother on and off for 6 years getting the old womans house ready to be sold so she could move in with her daughter. Anyways, when the old lady passed away a few years ago the woman GAVE my father all of her fathers (the old ladys husband who had died 10 years ago) tools. We're talking the lathes, a table saw, drill press, TONS of stuff.

I worked in HVAC for a few years, it would not be to hard to put in some overhead heating air ducts, backed behind a 1000btu furnace... It's simple to install, just need a someone with a cert to hook up the freon gas if you go with the air conditioning package...

cool shop!

I dunno CD, I still think your shop could use a little more... cowbell.

Seriously though, I envy you. Living on the 6th floor of an apartment building really cramps my power tool style. I would kill to have a good place to work on case mods.
