7v Mod problem!

Okay, I used Stevo3's guide, and now two of my Sunons won't work, tried going back to 12v, still no-go. Are my fans fried? The psu won't turn on when they're plugged in, but when I disconnect them everything works perfect, any ideas?

It sounds like the fans are fired and your BIOS is set to shutdown when the fans do not work.

Well they run off the secondary PSU with no motherboard connection, only fans on it. So its just a case of dead fans?

So, your fans are not connected to your mobo?
but the system will not boot with them connected?

Okay, I have two PSU's. One that boots with the mobo, and the other has a manual turn-on switch, it powers ALL the fans. When I have the Second set of 2x Sunons wired to 7v the Fan PSU won't turn on, when its set on 12v, it will turn on, but the fans won't.

Just grabbed some spare parts, both fans work fine, guess I must have done something wrong, I'll try the 7v mod with good pass-through connector and see how it works.

Well, no Idea now. I did it again, the EXACT same way as the guide was showing, and still, the power supply won't turn on with it connected. Both fans work fine now on 12v (single, and together) but will stop anything from working when on 7v, any ideas? These fans are just too loud for me on 12v..

I am sorry, I have not tried that mod, so I cann;t guess that the problem is. I guess that we will have to wait for Steve03 to defend him mod.

The way the fans and PSU molex's are hooked up, the yellow matches the yellow and the red matches the red right? I can only think of maybe switching the grounds, but I don't think that would do anything...Worth a try?

BTW Shawn, your OC is incredible.

I got that mod to work on my tornado. I used heat shrink and I soldered all the wires together. I'll get a picture for you soon.
