I would get a Gigabyte P35 DS3L, i own one and its very reliable, i would also suggest a 8800GT 512MB! and drop the Seagate, i have owned 4 and they are crap!

Duh?
Think about it. Nearly everyone here is running an OEM O/S which, I'm sure you know, cannot be installed on 2 different systems.

Yes it is, but it's buggy. If you are going dx10 just get vista.

I wouldn't suggest the E2*** series if you plan on doing some hard ocing. E6750 would be the top dual core choice. You won't be disappointed with it.

To decide whether to get Vista or not, you have to find out if all the hardware you have has Vista drivers.

Vista isn't up there with XP, in terms of drivers support, yet. It's getting there though.

Seagate Barracudas are the best hdds on the market. They come with a 5 year guarantee. Seagate certifies them to run 24/7 for 5 years. If it breaks down, they send you a new one free of charge (my experience).

Blood Iron = $110 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...k=blood%2biron
Ultra X-Connect PSU = $30 http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...4590&CatId=106
E4500 = $125 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115031
OR
Quad Q6600 $280 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115017
8800GT 512mb = $300 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814143118
Look up thermalright ultra-120 or thermalright ultima-90 for about $50
Then of course XP or Vista, $100-$150

Comments, the 8800GT 512mb can be had for $250 elsewhere, i just went to newegg, the quad vs dual, is your choice, i would go quad myself, the PSU is WICKED cheap ATM, but you need to buy a 20 pin - 24 pin adapter for it to work with newer mobos, the Blood Iron, is probably the BEST mobo for the money right now, mainly because of its high overclocks, and definently replace the stock northbride cooler yourself, which btw voids the warranty, if i forgot anything else let me know, or add it to my final price yourself GL

Total = $715, or $870 if you go quad core
