" i bought one of these and tried putting in my dell dimension 2350. My friend said that the shiny metal part on the bottom looks like it has lines because you cut at the lines if it doesnt fit. So i carefully cut off the bottom so that it fit into 1 of the slot things in my computer. Now it doesnt work. Did i cut it wrong? Id post pics, but no camera. Is there anyway i can fix this? Thanks for any help." "

In 2000, I worked for AOL (if I only knew what I know now!) technical support. I had a elder lady call me up one day and was having problems with her computer. I asked her what was wrong. She told me that she turned the computer on and there is this arrow bouncing all over the place. Because she was an older problem I tried to help her anyway even though it had nothing to do with AOL. I said lets restart the computer and will just start over fresh. When she booted up I asked if she saw the screen and she told me yes. I said is the arrow (mouse pointer) moving around now? She said not yet. I said ok grab your mouse and move it around with your hand (was trying to get her to the AOL icon). She tells me the computer didn't come with a mouse I said what? Are you sure because they usually come with one. She said no all I have is this foot pedal kinda like my sowing machine!! I put her on hold because I was laughing so hard and was crying in tears. After I composed myself I told her that was not a foot pedal and that is why her arrow was moving all over the place! I ended up showing her how to use it correctly. HAHAHAHA!

My grandparents asked why I couldn't just plug the AC wall cable directly into my motherboard and "get rid of all those ropes".
