Are you getting any HD signal? If so, vga negates the need for hdcp correct?
Quality of your tuner? (recommend it?)
Blu-ray or HDDVD add-ons planned?
Very nice bit of kit. Will be building one soon. Rep +

Tuner quality is pretty good. It takes some tweaking. I do recommend the Hauppauge tuners. The one I have is for regular cable. There are different options. Dual tuners and ones that pick up HD over-the-air. I have the Hauppauge and ATI tuner. The ati one is built into the graphics card.
Right now I don't have a plan for Blu-ray or HDDVD. I'm still waiting on the prices to drop. I really don't like paying $30 for a DVD.

Did you ever get to record 2 shows at once? Do you do that with the Beyond TV Link software?

The Beyond TV link is just for watching TV through another computer. All you have to do is have 2 tuner cards and Beyond TV setup with the 2 cards to work. It automatically records 2 shows if the times are the same and yes, mine has did that. It works fine. I use Meedio for the front-end software, for doing everything else but the tv.

i neglected to read that you had 2 capture cards, but the 2x00 series or the 3 series is just used for their HDMI because these cards all have built in sound decoders and i believe hardware decoder for BR and HDDVD.
i love ur software list btw, i am going to have to try meedio, media portal seems laggy for me....

My HTPC only has AGP. I wish it was PCI-Express. That will be a future upgrade.
Media Portal was always laggy for me too. I'm sure if I had a Dual Core htpc it wouldn't be a problem. I just like everything Meedio can do. The MovieNight module is awsome. I'm happy with mine for now.

Oh. I only have 1 tuner card on my HTPC. Do the cards have to be identical? Also, the Meedios link in the first post doesn't work anymore.
