I would recommend looking at other people's pots. I love my Sumo XL and it doesn't swing under load much at all on ln2 or dice. Some people I might recommend are Cpt.Planet, Ryba, Piotres, or possibly Duniek. I would recommend looking around in the for sale section on xs for some used pots. Basically what I'm saying is get a cheaper pot to get the feel for it and then move up later. I doubt I'll get an F1 because my pot is amazing and was much cheaper at only $250. It also has a ton of surface area.
But if you have the money then I would say go for the tek 9's and get a different cpu pot, although making your own pots would be awesome!
Could a mod please move this thread to other cooling discussions?
Why not F-1 for dice? And, what are the dimensions of the Sumo XL? I looked that up...so I believe it's made exclusively from Aluminum then? Yes, $250 is more affordable...just I rather use of the machinery...and don't mind the time in making custom.
It will be much fun as well.
So height, width i.d./o.d.....of the Sumo XL?
Also, that lil hole in the bottom of the pot ...is for the temp probe?
The tek 9s' are kool looking...but if you think they suck in benches then I won't do any designs like them...just the square profile seems much more like it can increase the available size of the pot.
Thankx & +rep in advance then
