So, RETAIL and OEM chips are the same cost? I have never seen that before..
Maybe I should have waited for a retail chip-- 2 more years warranty.

I'm about ready to return my mobo for the 15% restocking fee and go with a phenom just to spite Intel. Getting tired of waiting on them to release the E8500's or at least give the retailers an ETA of when they will be shipped.

In the first message in this thread, I says that if I pay the $5 pre-order fee I don't have to pay for shipping. I just checked out for my 9450 and I paid $12 S&H. What gives?
Edit: Am I misreading the above? Maybe it means shipping on the POF but that does not make sense.

Important notes: 1 - The $5 is NON-REFUNDABLE. You will not, however, have to pay for shipping or anything else during checkout. |

In the last pre-order TankGuys did, when you paid the $5 pre-order change, you also had to pay shipping for the item at the same time. This time you only have to pay the $5 pre-order fee at the time or pre-order and then pay the difference on the processor (cost - $5) plus the shipping when the proecessor is actually ready to ship.

If you did place a pre-order, and you did actually get *charged* for the amount (check your bank statements) shoot me a PM with that order number.
