And after more testing, I'm hitting 775 core, 1900 shader, 2250 memory. Unstable at 800 core, but I'll keep pushing the others.

There is a single slot reference cooler Galaxy 8800GT too.

Might want to add the fact that Galaxy is one of very few that are mostly using Samsung RAM (IE, can clock to 1000Mhz+ safely) vs the Qmonda RAM. (read: goes into self destruct mode if left at past 1000Mhz)
2 OP pls nerf

Pook is correct. I'm obviously running mine much higher than the qmonda chips. multiple runs of 3dmark 06 stable.

And if you're lucky enough to be able to find the HDMI version of the galaxy GT, it ships with samsung 0.8ns memory which is rated at 2.2ghz and should get higher than that

Oh and pook, I think they're just shipping the dual slot cooler now. The last few people who have ordered got the dual slot. A good thing about it though, the dual slot version comes stock with a heatsink already attached for the VRMs

Dang it! Why couldn't you just tell me that you overclocked it 5mhz and the thing went into a catastrophic meltdown?

Now I have to decide again which to get.

I just got my Galaxy in and it's the single-slot, CoolerMaster HSF version. With the jumper at 1.3V I'm at 760 core/1825 shader/1050 memory and ATITool/3DMark06 stable. I actually get more 3DMarks with this card than with my GTX, since I couldn't OC the GTX past 621 MHz core.

Thread Starter
Hey hey! Glad to see my thread has been influencing some to hop on the deal!
Also, it's $227 after MIR/express shipping now... hurry up though guys! The $20 rebate ends on the 31st!

In other news, those who have the dual slot cooler... are you running into the same issues for the locked 100% fan speed? Before I made a 2pin->3pin converter (to control via motherboard 3pin) the thing sounded like a hair dryer... probably 45ish dBA

For those of you running at 1.3 volts, what are your temps? If possibe record them with multiple applications to avoid the possiblity of bunk readings.

It's a Cooler Master VGA cooler so I'm hoping that it'll stay nice and cool even overclocked to retarded levels.

Hehehe...taking from the website.

"Cooling performance is dragged up 20% than reference cooler"

Dragged up? Those crazy Asians and their funky word play.
