Demything the Galaxy 8800GT - Page 9

Im thinking of getting two of these for sli, but the one currently on ncix, i don't see the jumper on the card. Did they change the design or something? or am i just missing it on the card? And do both power connectors have to be plugged in or just one and the other is optional? its hard finding a psu with four connectors for pci-e ><

You're just missing it, it's there.

Just get a PSU with a lot of amps on the 12volt rail and use 4 pin molex to PCI-E connectors. Problem solved.

Yeah, I'll be SLIing two soon... 2xMolex splitters and molex>6pin converter outa do the trick... the 600W OCZ GameXstream should provide enough amperage... I'll let you know how it goes

those things are rated @ +34A on the 12V right? The rest of your rig doesn't look like it should eat up that much wattage so you should have a decent bit of headroom

So I popped the HSF off my Galaxy 8800GT today to replace the thermal paste with AS5... was surprised to find Samsung memory... didn't manage to get a great shot of it (crappy camera wouldn't do a good close up)

Here's a naked pic and the clothing though:

What kind of temp. difference are you seeing with the AS5?
