Ram coolers... Corsiar or OCZ?

I should have made this thread before i bought a ram cooler, but i needed one asap and jumped...

I bought the dual 60mm fan cooler from Newegg. The one priced at $16.99 + shipping.

The thing that made me get this one over the Corsair cooler, was partly because of the negative review on the Corsair cooler.

People were saying that the smaller 40mm fans on the Corsair cooler ether failed, or got loud after a short amount of time...

The People saying things on the OCZ cooler were only good things. Except for the bright blue LED's, it runs nice and quiet, for a long time...

I also felt like i needed one because of the zero air flow over my ram, partly because of the way i have my water cooling, and partly because i have a BTX style case, which promotes bad air flow for any piece of hardware...

I'm curious what people think about ram coolers...

i think they are essential if you have your ram OC'd as much as you or i do Especially with watercooling and the lack of a cpu fan....i am using the OCZ ram cooler as well and i like it a lot minus the blinding blue LEDs lol. Fan noise was a little annoying to me at first so i dropped the speed a little bit with uguru.

I tend to lean towards fewer bigger fans, then more smaller ones...

Thats kinda my logic behind getting the OCZ fan over the Corsair one...

I like the OCZ fans better and I did have to RMA my Corsair fans. However, the OCZ fans won't fit on many motherboards. The way they are mounted, they stick out too much at the ends and touch video cards. Another option you have is the CoolIT RAM cooler and that's just one fan.
Once again...

I can definitely vouch for that.....there is literally 1-2mm at most between the OCZ cooler and my 8800 GT....makes me nervous at times but i havent found anything else to cool the ram until duckie just mentioned the CoolIT. I might have to give that a try and see how it fits Thanks for the idea duckie

crap... i was planning on getting a G92 card here in the next week or so...

Might have to do some modding to get it to fit. If the cooler fits, but just barely, i'll probably put a piece of electrical tape across the part that comes very close to touching the video card...
