Cyberpower or IBuyPower? - Page 2

I was going to do this about 3 years ago and use one of them vendors. I am glad I went the buid your own. I think it's a better way to go if for nothing else the knowledge you gain while doing this. But hey- if you can get a better deal and don't mind a pre-built then have at it.

Lol, ya, I totally know what all you guys are saying. I had a blast building that Pentium D system. I was hoping to save money, but I'll part with it if I need to. Thanks guys, those responses were quick!

I bought a CyberPower PC back in 2001. There service wasn't too bad. My Toshiba DVD-ROM drive didn't work right so they sent me a new one after I sent in the bad one. Although ever since I've discovered overclocking I will never go back to pre-built systems. It's just so nice to cherry pick the components.

Ibuypower has a terrible reputation. Here's their rating with the BBB. I personally had an absolutely terrible experience with Cyberpower. My relationship with them ended when I rm'd the computer they sent me after a manager told me "we no longer want you as a customer". I had spent a month on the phones with them trying to fix the POS they sent me.

Build your own computer. Its cheaper, you'll learn a lot and its fun. At the very least, pay a member here to build one for you.
