My guess is the item was damaged before it was ever packaged!
This thread should be in RANT/RAVE forum.

DOA corsair ram for me... I RMA'd and they received it 3 days ago but they're still "processing" the RMA >.< No refund just yet

I've ordered twice with Direct Canada. Great packaging, great prices, no problems or RMA

Yea, they're RMA department is very slow.

My ram arrived on the 29th and they said it's going to take 2-7 days to process after the RMA department receives it from the warehouse.
And then it'll take another x number of days to send it back to the shipping department and ship it to me...***!

RMA approved, and thankfully I opted for the express RMA, best $3.57 I ever spent

I'm currently debating whether or not to have it cross shipped because of the extra processing time.

Well the good news is NCIX customer support is amazing, the bad news I guess it that it has to be.

I sent the RMA in Monday afternoon, and they sent me my replacement this morning, thats less than 48 hours, I'm impressed! If my luck continues it should get here tomorrow!

(I should mention that NCIX is only a 90 minute ferry ride away)

I've not dealt with NCIX before, but I've heard enough bad things to have second thoughts. I've spent probably $10k with Newegg (including back when it was still Egghead.com) over the years for my personal and business computer stuff. I've never had one complaint about Newegg so I keep going back there.

Not to mention their warehouse is a 1-Day shipping time UPS Ground so shipping is next day and cheap

Good luck with your RMA, that really suxxor.

just my 2 cents to explain.
ncix is from vancouver. their customer service is meh. not good, not decent, not bad mind you. but meh.
i'm almost certain it's a bunch of chinese guys running the show in the back. most of the their store staff are chinese. i'm chinese. chinese ppl are cheap. hahahaha. i can totally imagine them skimping on bubble pack and stuff. they should not since their reputation is on the line.

From what i remember, their main warehouse is in Vancouver. But since they also do a lot of business in the states, they have people shipping things in the states from their US warehouse. So odds are, it's a whole different crew of staff. However, should you ***** and complain on the NCIX forums. Things are resolved quicker

to be honest, NCIX isn't consistent with their customer service and shipping (and computer assembly from what I've heard). I had to RMA something twice. First time, the customer service was excellent, understood what I was talking about and quickly exchanged what I needed. The second time, I was served by some arrogant jerk (euphemism at work here >_>) who knew NOTHING and refused to do the RMA and I had to come back the next day, get served by someone else who inspected and replaced my product within 10 minutes...

NCIX is usually a nice company though and that's the only reason why I bother with them >_>
