Can I silence my case? - Page 3

Just swap the GPU cooler to something silent and then get a fan controller to control all you fans including the CPU fan. Im going to get a GPU cooler soon since its the nosiest thing in my case after controlling my fan speeds with my fan controller. The controller is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811998808
and im controlling my CPUfan, two 2400rpm fans, and two LED light fans.

Thanks for the advice on buying a fan controller!

I picked up a logisys fan controller today, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811998032
and found that even with the voltage truned all the way down (but not off), my current fans, although much less noisy, still hum pretty loudly. I also found that they vibrate like crazy! In fact, most of the noise that is being generated from my fans, when at low speeds, is from the vibration they cause. Looks like I need new fans and some anti-vibration mounts.
Also, just a note, I couldn't even hear my stock heat sink fan untill I had turned all my fans off. Thats how freaking lowd they are. Make my stock HSF sound like a saint.

New egg is all out of those 80mm Enermax. But I picked up a 120mm Scyth S-Flex E 1200RPM for cheap today. Still don't have that hole drilled out to fit the 120mm yet though. Probably wont get to till next week. Till then I've got to find some of those 80mm fans.

I actually just got this Xigmatek CPU cooler and I'm surprised as to how quiet it is compared to other coolers I've tried. Plus, there's a $10 rebate on it right now. You might try looking at that.
