I needed a cheap SLI board for benching and i have to say i cant fault this motherboard in anyway, the only problem i initially had was getting it too boot first time, i had mostly done my "homework" here first to see what and if any probs with board were, i was using 2x1GB sticks of OCZ FleX XLC PC9200 = NO Boot, pulled the single stick i was using and replaced it with a cheapo stick of CorsairXMS PC5400, the board booted right up, got into bios and changed vdimm and mem timings to suit the OCZ ram, shut down, pulled corsair replaced with OCZ and board posted no prob.

I then proceeded to Flash the bios to the 680i SLI full version as per a post in this forum, it went painlessly, reason i done this was i needed the board to hit 4Ghz on a Q6600, which it done easily, the board does have massive Vdroop and unfortunately at 1.80v it only give 1.72v in bios, shame that as i could maybe have gone a lot further.

Still i just wanted to show some of the runs i done using this board and various GFX in SLi.

Test setup
HSPC Top Deck Station
XFX 680i LT (Flashed to Full 680i Bios)
Q6600 G0 SLACR
2x1GB OCZ FleX XLC PC9200
2x320GB WD SataII HDD Raid0
PoH Boy Water Cooling *D-Tech Fuzion*
2xAsus 8800GTS 640Mb Volt modded Cores @1.4v on stock coolers
OCZ PC Power & Cooling 750W Quad Silencer PSU

Mostly these runs were to push 3dMark06 on a quad for points

680i boards are great for ram oc. i had my ram stable @ 4-4-4-10-1T, 24/7 @ 924mhz. and that was only to keep it @ 1:1 ratio with my FSB.

Alright, i need help once again. I flashed to the P31 bios and it made my computer about as unstable as an ant hill in a swimming pool. I was finally able to get a stable 3.0ghz overclock with the P07 Bios and decided to update and go for more (Obviously a bad idea) So now im wondering, is there a way for me to flash back to P07? I made an ISO cd and tried but it says its not compatible with my system

First of all, wanted to say HI to everyone been following this thread for last 2days page by page, and decided to join the wagon aswel

I'm also working on my 8x400 3.2ghz setup on my XFX 680i LT (revision A1, already checked), and I've followed the idea of flashing the bios to custom xfx 680i bios (691N9P32.BIN) posted here...well, few pages before, not sure now which one was it. Just wanted to ask about something, atm I'm going out and dont have chance to play with it till tomorrow morning, but one observation... I have gigabyte aurora case with 2 120mm case fans at the back running with blue LED lights, which, after flashing to new bios, which itself works perfectly as far as I can tell so far, kind of slowed down so bad, I can actually read what says on their stickers O.o! and LEDs have gone from bright blue to very dim dying blue... any ideas about that??

edit: ok... nvm the above, im an idiot in all that worry I simply havent checked the bios fan controls, smartfan option for case fans was on, hence that look. but have a question, any of you, while running at 400x8 had problems with vista not posting back from sleep mode?
its stable for me while the system is up and running, but I get some memory error when trying to wake it up from sleep mode, atm gone back to 350x9 where its working 100% fine
