3.20 on q6600 on xfx 680i LT sli - Page 31

Hi all,

Thanks for many good posts. I've been reading through all 30 pages today

I also have the XFX 680i and Q6600, and yesterday I was trying to get some more juice out of the machine.

I experienced the same as many of you people; sudden resets when loading Windows, huge drops in volt and so on.

Looking forward to trying this when I get home this afternoon. I will post the result afterwards.

Success!

I'am now running at 3.6GHz after flashing the BIOS to P33, and applying the pencil fix. The pencil fix worked perfectly. The voltage doesn't change at all under max load.

Thanks again for all your great posts in this thread.

Anyone have any ideas?

Will be posting some of my new overclocking soon as well.
Hi guys,

I realize this thread hasn't been touched in a while but I'm hoping in the last year or so someones figured out whats going on with the ram problem the guy I quoted has going on. I have the same exact thing going on with mine and I'm tired of having only 2gb of ram to run on while I have 2 perfectly good modules staring me in the face on my desk that this board won't take. I've tried the pencil mod and gotten the voltage around where it should be, and I've tested all three modules in the same slot one at a time in my xfx 680i lt and they all work fine with the board individually but any more than one module in at a time and my system will fail memtest after about 5 minutes of running.
I'm saving towards a house for the kids so I'm trying to make the most out of my system rather than building a new one and suffering icy stares from my wife for a month. Please save my sanity cause this issue is driving me nuts and getting any support for the issue at xfx is a joke.

or just get a better mobo. The 680i series was horrible with quads. Pickup a p45 board for like 100 bucks preferably the dfi t2rs plus or gigabyte ud3r or ud3p.

Hi everyone,

I have a problem with my pc (XFX 680i LT Q6600):

After updating Bios using P33 iso file, nothing comes up on the screen at all, just power is up but nothing else. No POST, just black screen.

I tried to clear CMOS with technique like moving the jumper and removing CMOS battery but nothing change frown.gif

What can I do ?

(Sorry I don't find how to show my rig like everyone)

Does anyone still have a copy of the P33 bios ISO that will successfully flash without an error? I can't find it ANYWHERE and i've been looking for two days
