Everyone's allowed to have an opinion. But the fallacy in thought arises when opinion is used to base an argument on specific, supposed knowledge of an outcome which is yet to be determined.

You know what...I hope they get every dime of that 54 million. I hate Worst Buy...I refuse to go with in 100 meters of one.

Just about two weeks ago a firend of mine brought their computer to Best Buy becasue it was running really slow. They told some crazy story about the capacitors being fried. Her husband knows a little bit about electronics and thought that sounded wierd because if a capacitor is gone nothing should work at all. So he brings it back and asked for a few details and they openned the case and started point at various things inside telling him what was wrong with each part...taking a good 10 minutes to do so.

They then bring it to me. I start it up and hit ctrl-alt-delete and look at the task manager and see that some sort of screen saver program is using 97% of the CPU. I stop the process and do a search for this .exe file and then delete it. I restart and it is gone...and the machine is working completely fine.

What the hell is this all about? They sell TV's for $10,000 a pop. Why do they need to scam people to buy another $450 computer? ...and they were scaming...they was no way they did any sort of testing or trouble shooting on it and made a mistake. they just flat out lied.

I did not like them before...and now...I won't even go there.

the fallacy in thought
I think most philosophers would be chuckling at your play on words, think about it for a sec...
You're again ascribing thoughts to my brain which I have not had, please get back on medication.
You're right and superior ok? Geez.

why not just speak normal choggs? I know you can do it.

sorry I just have a distast for the change in choice of words (compared to the norm) when used for the sole reason of an arguement when those words are not needed.

OCN should form its own computer service chain.

Nah, most manufacturers factor in warranty repair costs into the sale price. Computer service places can't compete with that except at the regional level, and it's really a niche market. Most machines are sold by the HP, Dell and I forget the 3rd largest manufacturer, most of these machines are also serviced by these companies.

"Service" = fix errors, reinstall bloatware, add self destruct timer ending .0001 seconds after warranty expires
post #60 of 72
I expect that sort of thing to happen from local WEEE FIIXX UR MHZ computer shops. (Though I also know there are plenty of legit ones...ask around before you use one if you can) But this is BEST BUY...a large national chain store that probally is worth billions. This sort of thing just isn't excusable from some one like Best Buy...but you know...losing a lap top might be considering how many machines they must fix daily. However, leading a customer along for three months is not.
