And its sleeved
the bfg one is also sleeved.

only problem is that the bfg one says:
Quote:
This adapter can be used to either extend a too-short PCI Express® cable to the second slot in an SLI or Crossfire configuration, or can be used to convert a 6-pin power connector to the newer PCI Express 2.0 8-pin power connector.

The adapter consists of a female 6-pin PCI Express connector, 95MM (3.75") of 18AWG wire sleeved in black mesh and a male 6+2 PCI Express connector that accommodates both 6-pin and 8-pin sockets and an over all length of over 140MM (5.5").

NOTE: Connector should not support more than 75W. 8-pin connector does not support +12V sense function.
should I worry about that?

This is true of ALL 6-pin to 8-pin adapters. You can't "create" a +12V sense circuit out of the blue just by adding an adapter. The same is actually true of most PSU's on the market with 8-pin PCIe connectors on them. The +12V sense usually just goes to ground. BFG just happens to lay out the facts in non-FUD form.
