The X2's actually a fairly elegant solution when compared to the dual-PCB sandwich that is NVidia's plan.

G92 GTS just got ordered...

I don't mind if the cards are released later, but to say that they will be released on "this" date, and when that date gets within ear shot, they delay the card. That is just irritating... talk about an expectation let down... The 9800GX2 will probably be an over heating disaster anyways...
Yea, I dont know what is happening with Nvidia Lately. It's all about trial and error I guess.

it is too bad that nvidia can't put these products out to help drive prices lower.
The whole HD3K series was spot on and then some. Talk about a comeback. Now nVidia is the one making delays left and right. Nice change of pace, now if AMD does it in the CPU market they could pay off their debts in no time.

I'm still pissed that the g92 was not named the 8900gt, as it should have been. Nvidia are are acting like a bunch of drunk prepubescent boys that don't know how to name their toys.

I knew this was gonna happen, who wants to get a 650 dollar card(9800gx2) just to have a better one than the ultra if you can get and ati radeon HD3870 x2 witch is not only better than the ultra is much cheaper too and you can get it NOW,the only problem are ati drivers.
Another delay has come so now this means nvida is not gonna sell it´s cards the way the wanted,i mean coming late and expensive?,i´m not getting that card that´s for sure.
If you get an 8800 gt,gs or gts g92 you are more than ok,as i said a month ago the 9800gx2 is just a cheating by nvidia, trying to sell it as a new innovation and is not they should have called it 8900x2 and that´s it.Just put two gt´s together and you get the same thing and it´s cheaper.Ok you might say that sli doesn´t scale as good as it should but just think about the heat and power consumption of the 9800gx2...

Really? Wasn't aware that anyone had tested this dual-PCB sandwich to compare.

Disagreed. Any dual-core solution of an underpowered core is a cop out for performance. I will agree that it performs rather nicely in comparison to the GTX at the same price, but the GTX is a year and some odd months old. Just because Nvidia isn't delivering like it should doesn't somehow magically make the 3870X2 a better card.
